When we picked Autumn up in October 2019, little did we know we had ourselves a canine companion who would delight us through months of isolation and remote activity. And what a companion she has been! Always ready for a new adventure, itching for a swim on a hot day, pulling us across the frozen landscape, climbing in the car to visit Cheryl’s mom, covering the coverts looking for grouse, and chasing sparkles in the stream while I fish. And much more.
In August we celebrated her third birthday with a swim in the Ompompanoosuc. This week we celebrate the third anniversary of her coming home.
